Four Cycle engines only
Contest Director:  Travis Berry
One of our co-founders, Helmer Johnson, started this event years ago. To say that Helmer was a bit unusual would be kind to Helmer, and the precepts of this event are evidence of his attitude as well as his creativity. First, only four-stroke engines are allowed. This restricts the entries somewhat. Next, it is held, with a one-year exception, on the middle Wednesday of the year. It has long been suspected that this was Helmer's way of keeping out the younger generations, those who had jobs. Helmer has left us, and his old friend Chuck McLeroy ran the show for a while.  Travis Berry now hosts the event.  It is a fun event. There is no competition---and there are even some young guys who show up! Join us with your 4 stroke engine.
