August 21, 2010 - Saturday - several FW Thunderbirds made a road trip to Tulsa, OK to compete in a Sanctioned SPA contest, Tulsa Glue Dobbers SPA Summer Classic. The triple digit temperatures and heat index made for the very hot day. The Tulsa Glue Dobbers put on a great contest and treated all of us like we were one of their own. They had pilots from Texas and Oklahoma flying in all three SPA Classes: Novice, Sportsman, and Expert. After several rounds of flying they treated us to a homemade lunch.
Thank you to Dan and Lindy Quinten as well as all the other Tulsa Glue Dobbers who helped make this contest such a success.
